Hingham Youth Soccer In-Town league plays games against other Hingham In-Town teams only. In-Town teams are a great way to learn soccer skills, meet new friends, and develop sportsmanship and team work that will help any child grow. Teams are determined by the league directors and are balanced based on age, skill level, and experience to ensure enjoyment by all.
Typical game and practices times are listed below but subject to change once the season starts
The In-Town league is divided into the following Divisions:
Kickers K: Kindergarten. CoEd teams.
Kickers 1: 1st grade. Separate boys and girls teams.
Juniors: 2nd grade. Separate boys and girls teams.
Seniors: 3rd/ 4th grade. Separate boys and girls teams.
For the In-Town league, players are placed in a Division based on their grade level (regardless of birthday) when registering.
Players in the 3rd and 4th grade may choose either the In-town or Travel league but cannot play in both leagues at the same time.
Coaches are assigned to their child's team.
You may coach in more than one Division if you have children in multiple Divisions, unless the Divisions play at the same time.
No more than one head coach and two assistant coaches will be assigned to each team.
The In-Town league season runs in both the Fall and Spring. Your child will play for the same team throughout the season. The Fall schedules are typically published by September 1st and Spring schedules are typically published by March 1st. Schedules will be posted in the Parent Hub when published. Your coach will also be in contact once the teams are selected and will distribute your team schedule and roster to you.
