-
HYS begins for children entering kindergarten in September 2022; players must be age 5 by Sept 1st. Registration will open on June 1st for the 2022-2023 school year.
-
Registration is for both the fall and spring season. (HYS does not prorate if player decides only to play one season).
-
Fall season starts September 10th and ends in early November; spring season starts in late March/early April and runs through the first or second week in June. All games are on Saturdays.
-
Division Directors assign players and coaches; team assignments are finalized in August for the fall and spring seasons (players remain with the same team for the school year). · Coaches are assigned to the same team that their child plays on; coaches may coach in more than one division if s/he has players in multiple divisions (this is not always feasible, though, because some divisions play at the same time).
-
Parents are needed and encouraged to register as a coach or assistant coach; you may register at the same time as you are registering your child.
-
No more than one head coach and two assistant coaches will be assigned to each team. · Players are placed by their grade (regardless of birthday) when registering for the kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third/fourth grade divisions.
-
Players in the 3rd and 4th grade are no longer offered a travel option.
-
Registrations received after July 31st will result in the player being automatically placed on a wait list. To ensure a roster spot for your child, you should sign up as soon as possible. If your child is undecided about playing soccer, HYS recommends that you register now and if your child decides not to play, you can request a refund in writing before September 1st (less a $30 administrative fee). No Refunds will be issued after September 1st.
