  3. SPRING 2017 SEASON

    1. CORI

      1. Any board member on the field must have a lanyard

      2. About 8 more coaches need to be CORI’d

    2. Training

      1. SSSC will provide discounted rate for training of HS girls ($40/hour)

      2. Replace UK Elite for HS Training ($65/hour)

      3. Goalie Training

        1. Boston Breakers provide 3-4 training sessions for free in spring

        2. Ryan P. working with Neil Kane on getting this to happen

        3. No charge to players

        4. There was high interest in the fall

        5. Possibly have one session during April vacation

      4. HS Girls Players mentor Kickers Teams

        1. HS girls are not paid for their time; only receive community hours

        2. Would be nice to pay them but no $ in budget this year

    3. Game Schedule

      1. Steve Fetsko will work with Rob Thorne on game schedule

      2. There are field capacity & # of refs considerations

      3. No games on 4/15 (Easter) & 5/27 (Memorial Day)

      4. In-town will run 4/8 – 6/10 (8 weeks) with a rain date 6/17

      5. Proposed Games for Juniors/Seniors:

        1. Location: Carlson

        2. Junior Girls: 12 to 1:30

        3. Junior Boys: 1:30 to 3

        4. Senior Boys: 3 to 4:30

        5. Senior Girls: 4:30 to 6

         

    4. Proposed Practice Schedule for Juniors/Seniors:

      1. Location: Carlson

      2. Junior Girls: Monday

      3. Junior Boys: Tuesday

      4. Senior Boys: Wednesday

      5. Senior Girls: Thursday

      6. Wednesday night we have all 6 fields start at 5:30PM

      7. Anticipated participation rate: 40% - 60%

    5. Fields

      1. Ted H. put in request for Carlson, Cronin & Middle School

      2. Margaret has not even started thinking about schedule for HS turf

      3. Kickers schedule still up in the air pending fields but most likely 9:30 & 12:30

      4. Flag football (Mark Thoreau) complained that they do not get equal use of fields

        A. Flag football numbers (470) are a lot smaller than ours

         

    6. Referees

      1. Dave MacKay & Megan Murray will pin to Hingham PIN Board to recruit more referees. We desperately need more!

 

  1. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTIONS GAME

    1. Most likely will be on 6/3 (coincides with HS graduation)

    2. Alternate date 6/17

       

  2. HINGHAM SPORTS PARTNERSHIP

    1. Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Workshop

      1. HSP will fund the first workshop, re: Leadership (cost ~$1300)

      2. Tentatively scheduled for end of March 2017

      3. Ted H. is inviting Hingham Youth Board Programs to attend

      4. HSP will seek feedback after, re: how HSP PCA can fit into our program

      5. **Ted H. will send link to all, re: this initiative

  1. COASTAL UPDATES

    1. MTAC teams must have lanyards/cards by first game; both players and coaches

    2. No change to Heading Rule

    3. Continued with their discussion, re: Concussions

       

  2. COACHES MEETINGS

    1. Travel Coaches 3/28 @ 7:00PM (Probably Middle School)

    2. In-Town Coaches 4/4 @ 6:45 Hingham Public Library Whiton Room

       

  3. MISCELLANEOUS

    1. There was a situation where Player on B2 Team (Coach Peacock’s Team) requested for him to be moved to a different team. He will be moved to a team that is still short on Players. **C.Gong will handle

    2. Need more information before decision can be made regarding salary of staff

    3. Need to finalize policies, procedures & bylaws of the organization
