  2. ADMINISTRATIVE

    1. Approved Minutes from February 2017 meeting

    2. Followed Up on Action Items from February 2017 meeting

       

    3. Our accountant, Barbara Munroe, is moving to Florida and has requested to continue her services to HYS.

      1. She hired an assistant who will be physically located in-state to receive her checks and handle paperwork.

      2. She wants to rent storage space at Castle Storage to house records from 2014-2016

    4. Fee increase for next season – wait to discuss in April

  3. UPDATES FROM COASTAL – S.Fetsko

      1. Must be cleared by doctor, not the parents

      2. Coach will remove the player from the field

      3. It is up to the individual towns to track their own players

      4. **S.Fetsko will send rules to the Board

        1. These rules will be reviewed with Travel Coaches at the Coaches Meeting

      5. **R.Puntiri will invite Alex (HS Trainer) to give his 10 minute spiel on concussions at the Coaches Meeting also

      6. HYS Protocol: Coach receives doctor note from parent(s) & forward to Division Director

        Concussion Rule: If a player is removed from the game, he/she may not go back to the game without a doctor’s note.

         

  4. UK ELITE

    1. They feel they are no longer a partner with HYS and only provider of service. As a result, they will be increasing their fee to regular rate of $75/hour

    2. $65/hour was their discounted rate

    3. C.Gong will push back fee hike since notice was given so late in the game. Fee increase was not budgeted for this year.

    4. Get Galway to cover their nights. Alternate: Select or Breakers

    5. Likely will review this relationship

  5. SPRING SEASON

    1. Field maps: ** S.McCoy will re-do field maps

      1. No lines at Middle School (Kickers)

      2. Union not doing 4th field

      3. Carlson back up to 6 fields

      4. Cronin same as last year

      5. If Barry has questions re: fields, call R.Thorne

      6. Cronin & Union Fields need to be painted by 4/1

      7. Carlson Field needs to be painted by 4/3

      8. **G.Devine get keys from C.Dasilva to get nets out & inspect condition

    2. CORI – Still a few more coaches to be CORI’d

    3. Skills & Drills – Still TBD because we do not know if we can get turf time. C.Gong will encourage Travel Coaches to schedule practice 2 days/week at Coaches Meeting.

    4. Referees – Meeting set for Monday 3/27 @ 7:00PM - 9:00PM

    5. Coaches’ Meeting

      1. Travel Coaches Tuesday 3/28 @ Middle School. Start at 6:30PM All at the same time

      2. In-town Coaches Tuesday 4/4 in Whiton Room of Hingham Library staggered start 6:45PM Kickers K/1 and 7:45PM Jrs/Srs

    6. Passcards

      1. **Division Directors: Remind Coaches they need to have pictures for passcards!

      2. Coaches have to enter into SP – Jersey editor. Rosters will be same as in the Fall

    7. We plan to declare ourselves MTOC Ineligible for High School. Combine U16 & U19 teams à 22-23 girls. HS season starts 4/23

    8. Porta-potty

      1. LAX never responded to our request for $ contribution

      2. Bids are in **C.Gong will get company name for G.Devine

      3. **Suzie will check with Margaret if there will be porta-potty at Union Street field

  6. TRYOUTS

    1. **Suzie will put dates into calendar by the end of next week so we have a better picture of the school events before scheduling tryouts

    2. Last day of school around 6/21 or 6/22

  7. FUNDRAISING – Everybody come up with ideas for next meeting.

    1. Hingham Sports Partnership has grants available

  8. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTIONS GAME

    1. Give out link to players who want to go

    2. We will not collect any extra $ to raise funds this year

    1. Summer camp already has 99 kids registered. Have not advertised yet.

    2. New player from Minnesota (Senior Girls)

      1. New to town gets priority

      2. Currently there are 12 players/team

      3. Limit is 15/team (no extra uniforms)

    3. Halifax changed their team color to red from gray Rule: Home town wears pinnies

    4. 6-year old in preschool wants to play

      1. She was previously home schooled

      2. She meets the age requirement to play

      3. **Suzie will get more info before we vote whether to allow her to play

      4. We still have room in our teams for new players
